Leaving Marrakesh behind and driving over the High Atlas Mountains, through the pass of Tizi N’Tichka. You’ll be visiting the UNESCO world heritage Kasbah of Ait Benhaddou, Green Dades valley, and Toudra Valley.
Witness the sunset and sunrise over the golden Sahara Desert and ride the camel for a life time night in the desert under the stars.
Make your way back to Marrakech to Agdez to stroll through the palm grove of Draa valley and through the Anti Atlas mountains, then drive through the Ounila valley to reach Telouet Kasbah before crossing the High Atlas Mountain for the second time way back to Marrakech.
Morning departure and venture into the Desert.Leaving Marrakech behind and traveling toward Ait Benhaddou kasbah, beautiful scenery, and villages built among farms of oak trees, walnut groves, and snow patches. Admire the typical mud-brick homes along the way, as we drive through the High Atlas mountain Range.
Go up the Tizi n'Tichka Mountain Pass (2260 M-7415 Feet ) that connects Marrakech to Ouarzazate and Desert, we stop to take photos in the same time to stretch your legs, then admire the view Panoramic of the windy road and beautiful Atlas Mountain Range.
Descend the Pass of Tizi NT'chka and drive down to Ait Benhaddou Kasbah, upon arrival it's time to visit The UNESCO site Ait Benhaddou Village. Before climbing to the old granary which is the ideal place to see the panoramic view of Ait Benhaddou Kasbah and surrounding areas, wander the adobe village built from mud-and straw mixture through the covered alleyways and stone walls.
Ait Benhaddou is 17th - a century building and an old caravan trade route that once linked Marrakech and the Sahara Desert, and where a lot of movies had been shot like: Game of Thrones, Gladiator, Jewel of the Nile, and Lawrence of Arabia.
Leave Ait Benhaddou Kasbah and arrive in Ouarzazate, a gate to the Sahara Desert, Join Atlas Movie Studio visit (optional ) to see and learn how the Atlas Studio film featured in many movies.
Continue to Dades Valley passing Skoura and its immense palm Groove, Kelaât M'gouna, and The rose valley along the way of Thousand Kasbah, till you get to your hotel in Dades Valley.
Start your Morning driving down from Dades Valley to Toudra Gorges, which is located in an immense oasis of Toudra (48 km of palms groove following Toudra river ), walking time through the Toudra gorges (300 meters - 984 Feet High ) and Toudra river that slashes through the red limestone to make it.
Drive on through the dry landscape, and small towns along the way including Tinjdad, Mellab, and Erfoud which is well-known for its dates palm trees, and fossils.
Catch Your first glimpses of the enormous sand dune of Erg Chebbi as you get closer to Merzouga ( over 150 Meters - 493 Feet High), covering (14 square miles -35 km square) of sand dunes.
Get on your Camel into the Desert to admire the sunset on top of sand dune, then come back to your Erg Chebbi desert camp Berber-style- tent, to have dinner and relax around the campfire while listening to Traditional Berber Music under the vast star-lit sky.
Try to get up early to catch up with the sunrise and back to Berber camp to have your Breakfast, then explore more of the Desert by 4x4 wheel drive.
Head to the Saharian traditional village of Khamlia to enjoy Gnaoua music and dance to it, Our way takes us to Rissani which used to serve as a Caravan trading point till a century ago. Gold and silver trade were taking place in Tafilalt as late as 1900's. Before the caravan trade route and the important city of Morocco nowadays was sijlmasa , its ruins still visible nowadays lie-in outside the new city.
Stop in Rissani to visit the local Market, the locals come three times a week to shop for all their needs, In fact, every Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday, local people come to sell and buy different products including dates, fruits, and much more. The Market is also a social meeting where locals meet each other and hear the news area (before ).
There is an option to rent Quad ATVs, and buggies to test your abilities on the sand dunes or you can relax by a pool in your hotel.
Before continuing your exploration of the Sahara desert, get up early to see a Desert Sunrise over the vast dunes of Erg Chebbi.
Head to the Town of Rissani, well-known for its local Market three times a week : (Thuesday - Thursday, and Sunday .)including the donkeys parking lot, Goat, and ship Market, and Dates Market...
Make your way west to Ouarzazate, driving through a few small towns including Alnif, and Tazarin to reach Agdez, where you can admire the immense Draa valley view panoramic.
Leaving Agdez palmgroove behind, drive up the windy road which turns its way through dark orange calcified ridges after breaking through the pass of Tizi n'Tinififft and descends to Ait Saouen Village, located in Anti-Atlas Mountain, then we reach the city of Ouarzazate driving through the beautiful mountain.
After your Breakfast in your Hotel, before leaving Ouarzazate, stop in Taourirt Kasbah, which is a 17th-Century Kasbah built in Mud -and -a straw mixture, you will enjoy the view panoramic.
Say goodbye to Ouarzazate and make your way back to Marrakech through ait Benhaddou, then follow the canyon and the valley of Ounila to reach Telout and the former pasha's palace dominating the village of Telouet, which is the fortified village of Glaoui empire during the french colonization. He has hired the most skilled artisans to decorate the walls and ceiling of his residence. Continue your way back to Marrakech through the High Atlas Mountain Range for the second time, admiring the stunning pass of Tizi N'Tichka. We descend the windy Road of Tichka and you can notice the huge change in the Landscape and color of the mountain as you leave Tadart village, we reach the plain and soon you will be in the red city of Marrakech and its walls and gates.
